More wild claims in As Siyasseh
Why does every story in As Siyasseh newspaper only quote 'close and very personal sources'. Why do they never name names. Could it be because most are unsubstantiated pieces of gossip - or worse, stories dreamt up in the newsroom?
I have thought for many months about starting a 'Siyasseh Watch', where I will track the latest extravagancy to pour out of the Kuwaiti newsroom.
Today they quote extensively from private conversations between Bashar and cabinet members. He says he is willing to sacrifice Rustom Ghazali, Jameh Jameh, Mohammad Khalouf or Bahjat Suleyman.
And apparently UN investigator Serge Brammertz (the new Mehlis) has tape recordings of the conversation between Bashar and Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, where he threatens to kill Rafiq Al-Hariri.
Oh yes, of course there's more. Stayed tuned.
Asiyasseh is a clear example on what is wrong in the Arab press full of gassup inuwendows and clear lies ,no responsibelities or accountibelity ,the real resposible press will tell facts supported by at least two sources if you can not name your sources ,unfortionatly the Arab press is bought and hired todefame people and countris ,untill that is changed it is hard for people to elect the right people if the information in the press is faulse,i look for a time when the Arab press is free report the news leaving the interpretation to people or the analysts.

As Siyasseh is a crap newspaper which no one reads in Kuwait .. Its owner Al Jarallah was Saddam's puppy before the invasion..
As Siyasseh publishing house is also in charge of several junk/tabloid journalism titles like Al Hadaf, which is a weekly i-saw-the-ghost-of-abdulhalim-hafiz-singing-in-my-living-room kindda stories. (i am not sure if its still in print or not)
As Siyasseh is not even worth having a monitor or a watch. It has the poorest circulation figures and its capitalizing on anti-Syrian sentiments to attract Lebanese and anyone who is anti-Syrian readership..
I wouldn't even bother worrying about it ..

As Siyassah is a front for Saad Hariri. In this way, Al-Mustaqbal newspaper and TV can appear to be very professional and unbiased in their campaign against Syria by simply quoting the "well-respected" As Siayassah!!
