Syrian families demand information about missing relatives
Relatives of missing Syrians have staged a sit-in, outside the Ministry of the Interior.
They want to know what has happened to more than 1000 missing in Lebanon. They are demanding that Syrian officials ask Lebanon to investigate.
It follows a request by Lebanese families to learn the fate of their loved-ones, missing in Syria.

No, it's more about what happened during the civil war (when many were captured by militia) and after the 2005 withdrawal (when hundreds were arrested and not charged).

Anon,
Syria was not 'in control' of Lebanon during the civil war. And when the war ended, most militia (except one!) were only forced to lay down their arms, not disband. They never fell under the 'control' of Syria, even during the years of peace.
Even so, most of the Syrians captured by militia were probably killed during the war.

Have some logic man, otherwise you loose you credibility. Syria was in control of Lebanon till 2005, they forced the president of Lebanon to stay in office and their Mohkahbarat was running freely on the Cornish. And you are saying that they have no control of meleshia who have their abductees, do you mean the meleshia took power from them. Have mercy on our small brains. Or may be they were timid from asking the president they put on power asking him for their prisoners.

You seem to have a very black and white view of Lebanon after the civil war. You think Syria controlled everything? You think there were no other power bases in Lebanon?
