Syria closes border crossings
Syria has closed its northern border crossings with Lebanon at Al Arydha and Al Daboussyah because of the fighting in Tripoli.
At least 11 people have died after clashes between the Lebanese Army and anti-Syrian Al Qaeda linked militants. It is thought this group is also linked to Jund Ash Sham which has carried out terrorist attacks in Syria. Syria accuses them of coming in from Lebanon.
It seems somebody has outlived their usefulness.

I think that now the world is changing its stance on Syria, we will see a lot more of these 'culls' in Lebanon. The pressure they have been putting on Syria on behalf of other countries is not needed, and these tools will eventually start biting the hand that feeds them.
Dangerous game. And it shows Lebanon is no different to any other Arab country.
