Tripoli and Baalbek hit

Lebanon's second city Tripoli has just been attacked (it's predominantely a Sunni city - as opposed to the Shia Hizbollah). And also in the last few minutes, the historic town of Baalbek in the Bekka valley has been hit. Baalbek is a Hizbollah/Christian area.

What a shame !

The Israeli's seems not to worry at al about the historical sites in Lebanon.
Therefor they act exactly like the Taliban thit years ago blowing away there historical sites.
I was planning a trip to Lebanon/Syria/Jordan in September for three weeks, but thanks to Israel there will be nothing left when I arrive.
Found some e-mail adresses on the internet of Israeli government Ministers and send them an e-mail, won't help ofcourse but what can yu do from over here ?
Mailed my friends the Lebanon red-cross link I found on the Beiroet Spring site. I've never met a country I am going to (?) visit for holidays this way, read a lot of blogs and forums on the net and feel helpless, I can only say that there are people here that don't understand a thing about what's going on there, but that it's a war (again) where civilians are the main victims. Hold on and let's hope this will come to an end very quickly, there's no excuse for this outrage of bombardments. With love from The Netherlands, Alex
