Chinese factories come to Syria

Adra, in Northern Damascus, is to be the site of a huge new Chinese production line. Hundreds of Syrians will be employed in the production of goods for export.

Adra is home to an investment zone, where companies can invest and pay little or no tax. The Chinese comapnies bring with them technology, investment, and most importantly jobs.

It's not clear what the factories will be producing.

That is good to hear. More jobs for our Syrian brothers and sisters. I feel really bad about the way the Syrian workers are treated in Lebanon. I hope that if they flee the country at least they can find decent jobs in Syria because I know that many families don't have any other source of income. Hmm. One day when all this is over, people will laugh at the things they did (hopefully not an ignorant laughter but a laughter at the stupidity of it all).
