But where were Bashar Al-Assad and Nicolas Sarkozy having dinner. I'd say it looks like the rooftop of Laranja, a new Gemini Group restaurant on Medhat Pasha, near Bab Sharqi. It specialises in dishes from the different regions of Syria.

I call it Medhat Pasha, it's actually the eastern end of the road - just after the arch, and before Bab Sharqi.

I think you are correct. There were a ton of people, presumably security, gathered around the restaurant at around 8:15 p.m. last night, and then I saw the convoy headed there a few minutes later.
