Explaining Lebanon

Very good explainer on the parties and militia of Lebanon.

good info!

there are only 2 militias Amal and Hezbollah ....and some armed people i dont call them a militia because all the lebanese have weapons in their houses.

Thanks anonymous for your expert opinion. I guess it must have been "people in their houses" fighting Amal for three days then.

sasa ,if you were a beiruthi and you see these nawar in your streets what will have be your answer tho this ,of course you will resist and protect your home.

if u noticed ,they have the same weapons that of the republican guards of maher asad.

Ok, so these were just people from their houses coming out to fight. Thanks for clearing that up. Everyone else has made a big mistake - it wasn't the Hariri militia on the streets. It was just residents putting on camaflague outfits and taking out AK47s and RPGs.
