No, that's NOT the story, you racist Lebanese
So yesterday, I mentioned how Human Rights Watch has accused Lebanon of imprisoning Iraqi refugees, even though they have committed no crime apart from being Iraqi.
Now, 'Ya Libnan' has run this headline to cover up the story: "HRW: US & allies are responsible for Iraqi refuges in Lebanon". No, no, no. That's not the point of their report is it.
And look at the quote they pick: "Lebanon is not the cause of the Iraqi refugee crisis, and Lebanese are understandably wary of hosting yet another refugee influx."
Ahhh. Understandably wary. I guess that justifies arresting and expelling the most vulnerable members of society. Well done Lebanon.
Well that's not the story either you racist Syrian :-)
Actually I don't know if you are doing this out of malice or out of blindness and ignorance and I guess you'll probably delete this comment but at least you'll read it and know you got caught, so here goes anyway:
The report is here as you point out:
http://hrw.org/english/docs/2007/12/04/lebano17450.htm
Here is the quote from the report:
"Lebanese authorities arrest Iraqi refugees without valid visas and detain them indefinitely" and later "There are an estimated 50,000 Iraqi refugees in Lebanon ... Currently there are about 580 detained"
So the story is there are 50,000 iraqi refugees in lebanon, 580 of them have been put in jail (because the lebanese authorities claim they don't have valid visas).
However your post here:
http://saroujah.blogspot.com/2007/12/lebanon-jailing-or-expelling-iraqi.html
Makes the story "Human Rights Watch says police are arresting ALL refugees and detaining them indefinitely."
Your also wrote ALL in capital to emphasize your point.
Who is the lying racist now ? ;-)
I am sure the Lebanese bloggers want to pick other quotes from the report to make it sound more in their favor but at least it does not seem they are intentionally changing the quotes to lie about the report the way you did!

Two things I hate: people who are intolerable of other people, and the Dutch.
