Israel agrees to talk to Syria
Syria has been offering peace talks for six years. And now, finally, Israel has agreed.
But there are conditions: Syria must end support for Hizbollah and Hamas. That is a goalpost that Israel can shift when it feels comfortable. The important thing is that Israel is at least looking in the direction of the negotiating table.
Two weeks ago Bashar challenged Olmert to see whether Syria is really bluffing in its offer of peace talks.
Apparently Israel wants Syria to abanden the Plestinians and Hizballa and Iran before they talk to Syria ,what they mean is that ( Syria sould disarm and get rid of it's cards and friends then they can impose their peace on Syria )Syria should answer that Israel abandon it's nuclear weapons and give the Palestinians their intern ationaly recognized human rights and leave the Golan and Lebanon before Syria talkes to them .wake up Syria Israel will only respose to presure and as long as Syria is not willing to fight for the Golan Israel will stay there and ejoy the wine.,Today president Asad seems to recognize what we have talking about on these pages of a plan to devide the Midleast into religous and ethnic states cotroled by superior Israel.
