SNAP: Kofi Annan condemns Israel - calls Israel's attack a 'violation' of the ceasefire
In the past few minutes, Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the UN has said Israel has breached the ceasefire today.
Israel invaded eastern Lebanon this morning, sending troops in by helicopter to kill a senior Hizbollah figure. Israel claims it was to stop weapons coming over the border.
Israel says it was acting to prevent Hizbollah breaching the ceasefire (by importing weapons) - but they forgot that it isn't their right to do that, only the UN can. It would be similar to Hizbollah attacking Israeli troops because they haven't left Lebanon as required by the Resolution.
The Israeli intruders were found and an Israeli soldier and three Hizbollah fighters died in the fight that followed.
MOre of the same hutzpah; they do not respect anything, do not abide by any agreement.
These people imagine they can continue to oppress endlessly their neighbors and claim THEY are the victims ?

Maybe if Syria stops supply rockets to Hezballah it will be peace in Lebanon.

nir, If Israel wants peace it is very simple ,return the Golan and get peace ,security no more rockets and hapily ever after but your leader preffer to listen to delusional american gov who wnts the destruction of Israel to bring back the Messaia.wake up .

i agree with norman , if the USA continues to have a say in the peace negotiations between syria nad israel , there will be no peace because its not in their best interest to have israel and syria become friends and allies ,
i wouldnt know about the messiah but i believe that america's interference between israel and its neighbours is purely political , they want to be in control over the area, any alliances in that area (even if they include israel) is not good for americas domination over the ME
