Trapped in the south
A number of key roads and bridges have been destroyed in south Lebanon.
Israel has blocked routes out of the south, trapping civilians in the border areas. Earlier they warned residents to leave - now, it's clear they can't.
They say the UN has refused them shelter. In 1996, a group of women and children were in a UN bomb shelter which was targetted by the Israeli Grapes of Wrath attack. They claimed militants were hiding there - none were found.
The Israelis have bomb shelters. Do the Lebanese? Would seem like a good idea since in this area of the world, war is always breaking out.
