Egypt tells Syria to kick out Hamas
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has told Bashar Al-Assad to expel Hamas leader Khalid Mish'aal from Damascus. He says Mish'aal is leading the Palestinians to disaster.
It comes as Egypt tries to negotiate with the Israeli regime to end the attacks on Gaza. The expulsion is thought to be one of the conditions agreed between Egypt and Israel.
Mish'aal has praised the capture of an Israeli soldier, which the Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyah has distanced himself from. It comes amid talk of a split within the Hamas leadership between the Gaza-based politicians in power taking a more pragmatic position and the exiles sticking with their hardline stances.
It exactly mirrors a similar split in the PLO during Oslo when the Arafat wing were brought back into the Occupied Territories and installed in power, while 'rejectionists' were left in exile condemning the agreement.
Hafez Al-Assad stood by those hardliners during the 1990s at a time when he was being far more pragmatic than Bashar is today. It is clear where Bashar is going to stand.
Egypt who abbandened Syria after 1973 war does not have the right to ask Syria to abbandend the Palestenians ,actualy Syria will never let the Palestenian down as did Egypt ,Egypt rule these days is to convince the Arab of su=rrender to Israel which Syria will never do because it has hounor ,the only rout for Syria is a continued war untill Israel fails economicly.Israel can not occupy Syria.

I see the wall falling down all around us. It is probably a trap that has been set for a while now. The question is, though, does the younger Asad has what it takes to follow through with promises? at least half as much as his father endured? We will have to wait and see

We have to remember that Syria is the only Arab state standing up against the Israeli and American plan for the Midleast and i mentioned Israel first because the plan is Israeli first and for the benifit of Israel only not the US who is following the Israeli plan against the American interest.so all Arabs should help Syria and i mean Arab people not goverment and should be prepared to deffend it.
