Ghazleh ready to quit
Syria's former head of military intelligence in Lebanon says he is ready to quit if Bashar asks him to.
He was implicated by the UN investigation in the murder of Rafiq Al-Hariri. Earlier today rumours spread around Damascus that Ghazleh had committed suicide - but then he made this astonishing statement.

Some people say that Kenaan was strong and suicide is for the weak. I beg to differ. Real men and real generals commit suicide when those above them force them to do foolish and destructive acts. As far as I know, Kenaan never threatened politicans on the phone or bad-mouthed them. Whether you liked Kenaan or not, you still respected him. He got things done without being a mob like this Ghazali.
