Israel considers a prisoner exchange

Israel is condsidering swapping some of the thousands of Lebanese prisoners languishing in Israeli jails for their two captured soldiers.

Many of the prisoners have never been charged with a crime. They are locked up because of their nationality.

If Israel had considered a prisoner swap when this all began, 1100 Lebanese and 100 Israelis (including many dead Israeli soldiers - that's irony) might still be alive.
